Are we aware of our DIGITAL FOOTPRINTS?

10 things (not only) students should know about their digital footprint.

If the so called “Digital natives” and those of the “GenX and before” who use social media like Facebook, Twitter, YouTube make mistakes, those mistakes are “Googleable”, i.e. they can be easily traced and are web-permanent.

Read what you can do to avoid leaving a footprint that, one day, might strike back at you.

Remember this tip :

Before you do anything with a camera, cell phone, or computer, imagine the person who means the most to you in the world standing over your shoulder. If you’re OK with that person seeing what you’re about to do, and you’re OK with what you’re about to do becoming part of your permanent legacy, go ahead. If not, don’t do it.
